Haha!  Yeah.  I haven't updated in...well, forever. XD  But I was tagged by *historicalgirl to do a meme, so I figured that'd be good incentive to write a long-overdue update.  I'll divide this into categories to make it a little easier to skim through.

Well, for starters, part of the reason I haven't been as active on dA is tumblr.  I know a lot of you have probably heard that before form other users, but it's the truth. The first and foremost reason tumblr has been so distracting is because it's just so much easier to submit art!  I don't have to select categories, think of a sufficient description, worry about actually thinking of a clever title... College

Yes, ladies and gents, Lexa is finally getting her act together and taking steps toward going to college.  It's not as easy as it seems, at least not for me.  Besides actually filling out paperwork for applying for a grant and things, I also am trying to get things organized domestically so it'll be easier for my family to keep up on the house/yard once I start getting more busy. (My mom has a condition she's working on recovering from that makes it difficult for her to move around) The house we live in is old and in need of a lot of repair/keeping up on.  We also have a big yard full of wood piles that I need to stack.  I know that seems irrelavant to college, but I'd like to get things to a good place before launching into college.

Oh! And that brings me to mention what I'll be going to college for.  I hope to get my teaching degree! Yep!  Lexa is about to go form obnoxious teen to scary strict teacher lady.    Wish me the best of luck!  IF all goes well, I should be starting college in the fall...if not, then I'll be starting next summer.  Your prayer would be appreciated!


Other than that, dA just takes a bit more maintenance than I can handle right now.  I'm not gonna quit altogether by any means!  I just need to settle into a new normal.  Anyway, I hope I didn't completely bore you all, but that's pretty much the sum of what's been going on in Lexa's life.

 Oh boy…favorite?  That's a tough one.  I have so many I like.  One of the ones I tend to quote most often (as *Lavender-Star knows well. ) is C. S. Lewis' "A friendship is born that moment when one person says to the other, 'What, you too?  I thought I was the only one.'"

2. What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
 Ah! That would be my necklace.  It's a gold chain with a very small gold heart.

3. Can you dance?
 Um.  I don't really know.  I'm sure I could learn to slow dance if I tried, but other than that…? We'll just be safe and go with no. XD

4. What is your favourite festival or celebration?
 Hmmm…probably a tie between Christmas and Thanksgiving.  

5. Are you still friends with people from kindergarten?
 No.

6. If you were a crayon what color would you be?
 lol! Good question! XD Probably…silver.

7. What was the best moment of your life?
 When I was born.  Because that's the moment that lead up to all the other awesome moments in my life.  My life's been hard, but good. ^^

 The fact that I'm generally considered a nice person (haha!), but I certainly don't have a problem standing up for myself.  I'm usually polite and kind, but if someone crosses me or messes with my friends/family, they'd better be ready for trouble.

 B-but I don't know how to favorite! That's a good question, though… Mind if I change folklore to history?  I admire Pocahontas, John Wycliffe, and Boaz's wife Ruth to name a few.

 Not really an official collection, no.  But I do have a little collection of shiny pretty things, bouncy balls, books that I've deemed worthy of my time…  Thinking about it that way, I have quite a few collections.
