Okay...so I'm FINALLY getting around to submitting pictures of the Flareon and Pokeball my mom and I worked together to make for my brother for Christmas.
Late, late, late...
So, here it is! The Flareon plushie was made mostly by me, and the pokeball was made mostly by my mom.
We could not, for the life of us, find long, yellow fur for her head, collar, and tail.
So my mom had the AWESOME idea of using an old, child-size santa hat that we had and dyeing the fur on it yellow using vinigar and yellow food coloring!
It turned out REALLY well, I think! 8D The tips are more yellow than the rest, which is just how I wanted it to be!
After my mom crocheted the two halves of the pokeball (which was pretty tricky, considering they had to be the exact same size!) I took over and added the lining, the zipper, and the velcro on the button.
It was a real team effort!
And we're planning to make him more pokemon this year to fit in his pokeball, and probably in future years to come. Oh, but shh! It's a secret.
In this picture, you can see how well Flareon fits in the poke ball!
All you have to do is fold her ears back and zip it up and she fits in there perfectly!
My brother is the one who discovered that you can fold her tail around her to make it look like she's sitting in a pet bed of sorts.
