"THE GIRL IS A SIGN! SHE MUST BE SACRIFICED!!"

It's about time I posted some more When in Rome stuff, eh? :D

Anyway, let me explain what's going on in this picture. Brooke had dropped her sandal when she was flying with Angelo, and it landed on the head of an unsuspecting faun. Well, Mars happened to be in the area and (being the "god of war" and all) decided to make a big deal of it and say that Medusa had cast her sandal upon the fauns and would make them her slaves or strike them down with disease. He said that the only thing that they could do to save themselves was to declare war on her and make sure to make sacrifices to him so that they might have his favor, lest he decide to take Medusa's side in the ordeal.

Needless to say, the fauns were pretty terrified until young Brooke stepped forward and asked if she could please have her sandal back, and apologizing for any trouble it might have caused. Being a quick thinker, Mars grabbed Brooke and held her up, declaring in a loud voice, "The girl is a sign! She must be sacrificed!"

Luckily, Angelo steps in and tells Mars that he has no right to harm Brooke because she is a child of God. Mars, knowing he could get in trouble and not wanting to make himself look bad in front of a crowd, reluctantly lets Brooke go and gives her back her sandal, but promises that they haven't seen the last of him.

Or something like that. It's still in it's rough draft phase. :dummy:

I really needed to draw Mars again, and I've had this scene in my head for quite some time. This also gives you an idea of how big/tall Mars is. :fear:

Anyhoo, that's all for now. I'll finish this on the computer later. :meow:

YAY! When In Rome related stuff again! :dummy:

Such an exciting story! :la: It sounds great so far!
The expression on the sketch look seriously great too! :D Personally, I've always found "fear" to be a hard emotion to capture, but you've pulled it off very well with Brooke here!
